A new standard in automated sticking
As nursery operations scale, there is a need for a planting process that combines speed, flexibility, and consistent quality. Manual sticking remains labor-intensive, while differences in cutting size and shape make automating this process a complex challenge.
The CuttingPlanter 2.0 changes that. Advanced vision technology selects each cutting, while a fast and precise robot plants it uniformly at the correct depth. No manual preselection is required.
Automated planting, reimagined
The CuttingPlanter 2.0 combines a wide conveyor belt, a large picking area, and a fast robot to plant up to 3,000 cuttings per hour.
CuttingVision analyzes the cuttings and determines which ones are ready to be planted. The electrically tilting gripper handles a wide range of cutting sizes and enables angled pick-and-place for larger cuttings. Unplanted cuttings are returned to the front of the machine, keeping them in the process.
The machine can be adjusted to different tray and pot formats, planting patterns, and pot sizes. It can be connected to VisionAir and equipped with options such as a presingulator for tangled cuttings and a belt washer for cuttings contaminated with agar or resin.
Simple controls allow one operator to manage up to seven CuttingPlanter 2.0 machines, creating a scalable planting process that can grow with production demand.
