Description
The Robot Plug Planter is designed for automated planting of chrysanthemums. It places a soil plug into the ground instead of using press pots. A soil plug roots more easily, better, and faster than a press pot. A plug is more natural and peat-free. The plug is inserted into the soil without causing damage, which prevents root damage and helps the plant establish itself more quickly. A stronger start leads to a healthier plant and a shorter growth cycle, resulting in higher yields per square meter.
Improved root development promotes more uniform growth and reduces failure or lagging, increasing the proportion of A-quality flowers. Plants are also expected to be less affected by Pythium, reducing or eliminating the need for pesticides.
